About Us in English

Kustantamo Lukunoja is a small publishing company from Finland, established in 2022. We publish esoteric books, both original works and translations from English and German, mostly in Finnish language. So far our only English-language publication has been the anonymous Austrian novel Josefine Mutzenbacher, translated directly from German. Our edition is the first unabridged publication available in English language.

Recently we published a revised 500-page edition of writings by Charles S. Peirce in Finnish, Johdatus tieteen logiikkaan ja muita kirjoituksia, that is, Illustrations of the Logic of Science and Other Writings. Originally published in 2001, this anthology of translations by Dr. Markus Lång has been the subject of a heated scholarly controversy – receiving both appreciation and academic mud-throwing, globally – which has continued well into the 2020s.
